Oracle of Ages:

Day 47: (Februrary 28, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
Link! You've jut killed Gannon, the ancient evil ruler of the Darl Realm and former holder of the Triforce. What are you going to do next? Well, I figured I'd go and see what was going on in other parts of the world. ...or at least that's about how I picture it going after all that went down. I mean seriously, what DO you do after you bring peace to all of Hyrule. Would you rather take it easy until something comes around or are you going to spread the goodness and see about helping others, too? Link is just an awesome guy like that. Except he didn't get much choice, really. The next game is supposed to be the same Link that was in A Link to the Past but he was taken away. The game begins with Link falling and the words "Accept our quest, hero!" on the screen. Then it cuts to you as Link in some strange land with no equipment but the green tunic that the Hero of Hyrule always has....

Going the only way possible, you come across someone yelling for help. You come to their rescue and find out that it's (another) Impa. She explains that she's from Hyrule and upon seeing the triforce piece that Link has on the back of his hand, instantly recognizes him as the Hero of Hyrule. She then asks you to go with her. She has you move a stone with a Triforce piece on it and then the two of you go to meet a singer who they say has a very lovely voice. Her name is Nayru (yup, just like one of the three goddesses). Anyway, after you meet Nayru, a ghost looking thing who calls herself Veran comes out of Impa and posesses Nayru. Knowing that Nayru is the Oracle of Ages, Veran uses her body's ability to go back in time and wreak some havoc. Nayru's guardian and close friend (kinda like Link to Zelda), Ralph immediately runs off to save her. Impa then explains why she came from Hyrule and is very disapointed now because she was supposed to bring Nayru back to Hyrule but as we know, she didn't exactly make it. She then asks me to save Nayru and tells me to start by talking to the Maku Tree (kinda like the Deku Tree except a girl) in the village to the west. I did just that but as I was talking to the tree, she disappeared! She felt it happening and gave the pretty obvious clue that something was happening in the past. I went to the portal that Veran used which was conveniently close and followed Ralph into the past!

Upon arrival, I went to the village and found out that the people were being forced to work on a tower that the queen was having built and recently was being pushed heavily by the queen's new advisor: Nayru. I decided to investigate that since the way to the Maku Tree was blocked by piles of dirt. I went to the tower and found out that it was originally being slowly worked on as a way for the queen's lover to find his way from being lost at sea. While there, I was given a shovel so I could help with the construction but I had a better idea... I went back to the cave that led to the Maku Tree and dug my way in. I went through the cave which isn't as easy as the first time I went through then I saved a sprout of a Maku Tree from a couple moblins (monster goblins?) who would probably made quick work of ending her. After being saved, she expressed sincere gratitude but said she couldn't repay me yet but that she would later in life, as she could. So naturally, I found my way back to her in my original time; her future. She remembered me... and the fact that one of us said we would get married later but she didn't remember that it was her who said that and not me. :/ Anyway, she said that her memory was very incomplete and there are eight "essenceses" in the world that will restore her memory if I get them for her. I agreed to get them for her and then I saved and quit for the day...

Part 2

Yeah, I played more after I got home. This first level was just so easy, though! And plus it was in a graveyard! Who could pass that up? I went East to the graveyard. Like normal, I had to use something new I got. In this case, it was some little fire stone nut things I got from the Maku Tree. I got into the graveyard and found some kids trying to get a boy to go to the scary grave under the "big tree". I kept on going and burned a couple more bushes and found the way into an underground room where I lit a couple fires and got a key that opened the gate to the first level! I walked through the gate and went on in. I was a bit disapointed at how easy it was but it was only the first level so maybe they'll get harder? Maybe I'm jut used to the last few levels of A Link to the Past... Anyway, I got a bracelet that lets me lift heavy stuff and used that to kill the dungeon boss who looked like a ghost with a jack-o-lantern head. He was pretty easy. I just hit him with my sword until the ghost disappeared then I threw the jack-o-lantern against the wall. Eventually, he died and I got my first heart in the game! I went from the boss room to the room behind and got the first essence then was immediately telepathically contacted by the Maku Tree who asked me to go west into the forest.

Naturally, I'm totally cool with the forest so I got going west-ways direction. I eventually came across three mischievous fairies... They rearranged the forest as I went from screen to screen. They made it a hide and seek kind of thing. After finding all three of them (didn't really take too long), I continued on and found the cave that will be the second level! ...except when I removed the only rock I could to get in there, the cave fell in on itself and the Maku Tree told me I just broke it. She also suggested that I go to Nayru's house and see if she had something that could help me so I went and looked for just that. I found a secret room that had a harp in it. Nayru knew something might happen to her so she left that harp with a telepathic message saying she knew I was a hero and that I was meant to save her. She also taught me a song that will activate portals when played with that harp. All of which sounds pretty cool so I'm going to give it a try! ...tomorrow.

Day 48: (March 2, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
You'd think that blowing a hole in the side of a rock face to open up a cave would be relatively straight-forward, right? Get some bombs, blow up some rock. Right? Not today. I went to the cave, expecting to find some way to get some bombs but I found nothing. So I decided to start talking to people and that helped a little bit but not too much. My hint was that the queen had the best bombs. :/ While talking to people, I did notice that the people were looking for some stones or nuts or something to give to the queen. I paid no attention to that, though I should have. Eventually, I found those nuts that everyone was looking for and as soon as a guard noticed I had some, he brouht me straight to the queen so I could be rewarded! Yup. I got some bombs. :) By the way, one noteworthy event that happened right after I got my bombs, Veran came and talked to the queen. It was pretty obvious that Veran was using mind control on the queen. Sad but I kinda knew that was what was going on, anyway. Anyway, I went to what would soon be the cave and brought about its destiny. And then I walked on in and saved the game.

Day 49: (March 3, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
Aaaaaaalrighty! Once again, I'm coming back from the future to remember what happened and write about it. Seriously, I'm just mixing it up with the third dungeon... Anyway, while I don't remember the level itself, I do remember the boss. This was a strange version of what's called a whomp (or whomp block). This one was different from the others in as much as the spikes were larger and it rotated around with four different faces. I used a mystery seed on an owl statue near this guy. The owl's advice was that the red face doesn't like smoke. So the only thing I had that made smoke? My nice new bombs! I tossed a few in while avoiding attacks from the other faces and after the fourth one, I was on one more essence closer to being done with this game! I picked up my heart and my essence and then just like last time, Maku contacted me telepahically to let me know that my next essence was south and I would have to sail there.

Lucky for me, I remember wandering by a house with a boy who wanted to make a raft! I talked to him and got some details on where to get the parts for the raft he wanted. I went to the future and got the rope he wanted then returned. I brought it to the kid and he told me to wait a bit; that I should get a sea chart and by then the raft should be ready. It became instantly clear what I need to do, but only because I've played Wind Waker and I know that there's a slightly creepy guy named Tingle who thinks he's a reincarnated fairy. He loves people with connections to the fairies and he loves rupees. But one other thing he really loves is maps and charts! And I saw him floating by balloon a bit east of this raft guy's place. I started out, having to go north first. I happened across a kangaroo who asked me to find its gloves. I found them and returned them to their owner then the kangaroo offered to help me get around. Which was pretty convenient because there was no other way I was going to get to Tingle. I got a chart from him and agreed to be his friend. After that, I went to the raft kid, picked up my raft, and set sail south-ward! And as soon as I got to the only island I could reach, I was immediately ambushed by a bunch of lizard people...

And then I woke up... with nothing, not even my shield. Those jerk lizard people stole all my stuff!!! Lucky for me, the guys who made the game had something very particular in mind. While it was one of those annoying distractions that just makes the game take longer to get through, I figured there would be an exact chain of events that would result in me getting my stuff back. So I got to it, talking to all the lizard people I could. I got some of my things right back and I had to work a bit for others. I planted a tree, I harvested some seeds, I got all my things back, and I slowly made my way to the next dungeon. In the future, I was told that someone opened it up in the past. I decided to check it out in the future before going to the past. I walked in and I saved the game.

Day 50: (March 5, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
I got to exploring and wandering about. I found four crystals on the first floor and after a bit of work, I broke them all. I then focused on the ones downstairs and did the same there. The dungeon was a cool waning crescent moon shape... but that didn't help me figure out how to get to the boss key and the last four rooms...

Day 51: (March 10, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
(Once again written days later,) I found out that there's a regular key first. I found it then got the Boss Key and fought the boss. This one was a bit of a strange boss... It looked like a Gameboy version of the poes from Ocarina of Time. This particular poe would split into four shadows which hurt if they touch you then join back together. When you look at it, it disappears. That last part totally make sense with it being like the Ocarina of Time Poes because they usually did the same thing. Anyway, I avoided being hit by shadows and I used this nifty seed shooter I got earlier in the dungeonn to hit the poe by bouncing a seed off the wall then hitting it with that seed. I was pretty proud with how quickly I got that one. After a few hits, it was gone and I got my heart piece and new essense!

Immediately after that, Maku contacted me telepathically to have me travel to a town north west of Lynna. I traveled there and found a town with a volcano in the middle of it! That town was all about symmetry and the everything was all symetrical, split down the center of the town. I tried wandering around, using a new song I got to travel back and forth between the two times, and I didn't find anything to stop the volcano. The only thing I got was lost... :(

Day 52: (March 21, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
Ha! Lost. Whatever. I manipulated time and went further along in my journey. I came to a place that sounded familiar (the Repair Wall or something like that) and met a guy named Patch there. He said he could fix things but I had nothing to fix. ...and then I remembered that the people in Symetry City were all making a big deal about some nut that broke. So I went back to the city, got the nut from the guy who had it, went back to Patch, and asked him to repair the nut. This is where the corniness of Nintendo programmers shines through. Patch said he had a "ceremony" to get things repaired and I had to fight off a bunch of octopods and get them all to fall down some holes before a mine cart (which Patch gets started rolling) hits the seed. I messed up a few times but on the fourth try, I got it! The corniness being Patch kept calling something that was obviously unnecessary part of a ritual and he just wanted to make me do something to earn his help? Somehting like that... Anyway, I got the seed and brought it back to the altar where it sat in the exact center of the city. Then I went forward in time and entered what was once the volcano.

Inside, it became very clear that I would still have to deal with lava, even though the outside was nice water now. There were plenty of lava pools inside. I wandered around, came across some new puzzles, went in every room, opened every treasure. I got a new toy called the switch-shot (or something similar) which looks a lot like the hookshot but instead of decreasing the distance between you and what you latch onto with it, it switches your place with whatever it latches onto. Kinda different but still cool. Anyway, I got the boss key and entered the chambers for the dungeon boss. I used the switch-shot to pull his big eye out of the protection of the four little eyes that flew around him and then just attacked the big eye. It was pretty effective and I soon killed that boss, too. :) I got my heart piece and Maku's essence then left. Of course, Maku contacted me after that and told me to go North above Nayru's house. So, of course, I got going but after a couple screens above her house, I decided that I'd had enough for one day. I saved my game and shut down the Gameboy...

...Only to start it right back up a few minutes later. This game is all about time, so why not explore that place in the other time I have access to? I did a little time travel and found the way in. In one time (the past), I came across a bunch of Gorons all trying frantically to get their leader out from under a bunch of fallen rocks. They kept saying that if they had a bomb flower that they could have him out quick but nobody seemed to have one... I kept on going. I found out that a Moblin boss had recently built a tower and he was taking all of those bomb flowers for himself. I made my way up to his tower. Along the way, I came across another tree that made seeds like the ember and gust seeds I picked up before. These ones make you run really fast! I used those to get past the first room in the tower and was disappointed to find out that the Moblin Boss was right there! He had a couple henchmen with him and all three threw bombs at me. The henchmen used normal bombs while the boss had bomb flowers which were larger than regular bombs. I picked up the bomb flowers and focused on the boss, throwing his bombs back at him. After a couple of those, he was gone and his tower blew up with him (because that last one I killed him with just happened to ignite the majority of his stock and that is what blew up the tower). The Gorons congratulated and thanked me and made sure I got one of the bomb flowers. I went back in time and used that bomb flower to help the Goron leader in the past. I blew him right out of that rock pile! He was cool about having been blown up, just glad to be out, I'm sure. He thanked me by giving me a key that he said he never could find what it went to, and then got back to doing his thing as the Goron chief. I wandered around a bit, focusing on places I haven't yet been to on the mountain. It didn't take long for me to find where the key went. I put it into an obvious keyhole in the side of the mountain and it immediately opened up to be the enterance to the next dungeon...

Day 53: (March 22, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
Now that I'm in the Crown Dungeon, I began wandering around. ...and sorry, kids but I waited far too long after playing to write this. I'll just rememer what I can and put that in the next one...

Day 54: (April 14, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
-the next one-

This place was crazy. For the first time since I think Skyward Sword, I had to draw this out. There are ten different portals in here and a couple puzzles that weren't exactly intuitive. I got it, though. And by the way, those three statues were unusually tough. But I opened every treasure and went into every room! No details on how I made all that happen except for the boss for the level. That guy was kinda tough, too but only because I had to defeat him in phases. This boss is a cloud kind of thing that splits up into parts and you have to get the parts to touch eachother and become bigger until all the parts are together and then you can hit him with your sword a couple times. And you have to do this four timesl, each time is a little tougher than the others, supposedly. I actually didn't have so much trouble with the fourth go because I just had him use the outter wall and then made them run into eachother. The hard part for me is dodging the attacks he kept sending out. I died a few times. :/ Anyway, I eventually killed him and got the essense from that dungeon! When I exited, a goron just happened by, informing me that everyone was at some race or something. I'm going to admit that it started feeling like it's just never-ending with these games... I saved the game and decided to come back to it when I felt like saving even more people from a fate that only I can save them from because I know that even if this race is a good thing, something bad is going to happen as soon as I get there...

Day 55: (March 15, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
Ridgeway. Ridgeway... It's not a raceway, but a ridge way. And it's complicated and I'll probably end up drawing a map again. I wandered around in the past and present and I think that I need to get into the next dungeon in the past. It looks like they make a big deal about dancing in both times but there's also some famous lava drink in the future and the past has a goron who seems like he could befefit from this drink. I tried the dancing and I think I should have paid attention to the instructions because I wasn't very good at it... :/ I'll have to give it another go next time.

Day 56: (May 10, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
I finally did it! I went back and forth in time a little bit and played some of those bothersome games that the gorons kept bugging me to play and I eventually got the key to get into the next dungeon! Finally. :) Aparently I needed goronade and not the lava drink for that one goron and also had to bring food to someone in exchange for a vase that I sent back in time to his ancestor (creating a possible paradox where the vase exists simply because and I just keep trading it out for itself... or maybe someone makes a new one based on the old one and it just inspires itself instead. I dunno.).

Anyway, I'm in here now but it isn't so fun. I explored a lot and even got a key but I kinda ran out of places to explore and I don't know where to use the key. I'll have to come back to it later. :/

Days 57-60: (dunno - September 11, 2015)
Oracle of Ages
So... It's been a long time since I posted here. Sorry, but that's just how it happened. Lots has been going on recently! I got a new job, I let someone talk me into thinking this project was a stupid idea, I got over it, and I made some major advancement in the project! You see, I'm really stopping in the middle of day 62 to write this and I forgot a lot of what happened. I'll relay what I can, though.

First off, I did a LOT of stuff. I passed all the levels and got all the essences. I made my way to the tower where Veran (still in the Queen's body) was. The showdown was ready for me but I sure wasn't ready for it. Without exageration, I'd say I tried to defeat her almost twenty times. That's when I just stopped play for the majority of this time. But on September 10th, I just happened to be hanging out at the mall, talking to the store manager of Industrial Ride Shop when I found out that this guy was a bigger Zelda fan than I am. He named his son Link, had a tattoo of two of the different Links, and he was also collecting the games (so he and his wife could have them all but also so his son could play them and understand where his name came from). I found it a bit inspiring and also, the person who convinced me that this was a stupid idea was less in my life now so I decided that it was time to give this final battle a second go.

Instead of just plain going in and getting myself killed again, I decided to look for a way to make it so I can live a little longer. I totally got lucky with that and I found the witch's hut! I didn't think about it at all before but these witches love selling potions. This particular one has a potion that works like a fairy where it'll heal me when I die. That was perfect! Doubling my life meant I could do this for sure! I climbed the tower again and got before Veran. Like all the other times, I found her with Ralph. Ralph was trying to be a hero and defeat her but we all knew that Ralph was from the future and a descendant of The Queen that Veran was currently in. In other words, if he kills Veran in the queen's body then he would disappear. He went anyway but he wasn't ready and she beat him. My turn. I fought the first battle. It was obvious that I haven't done that in a while because I forgot her weaknesses and I died. I made sure to remember the weaknesses and I gave it one last go...

I did it! Without killing the queen, I pulled out Veran and defeated her. The Maku Tree was happy, Ralph and Nayru were happy, the queen was happy. It was all good except for a certain couple Gerudo... Koume and Kotake (yeah, those two from Ocarina of Time who merged into Twinrova) spilled some information on a larger plan they had going on and with Veran's end, a blue flame was lit in the temple where Koume and Kotake were and they would use that power to help resurrect Gannon!!!

Oracle of Seasons:

Day 61: (September 12, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Yup, I'm putting Oracle of Seasons in here. With good reason, too because they're more connected than I thought. You see, with a linked game, I can kind of continue in Oracle of Seasons. I don't get my hearts or items but some of the things I did for people in Oracle of Ages carries over and people react accordingly. One of the bigger examples is Pippin and his family. I met them in Oracle of Ages and they showed up in Oracle of Seasons and they remember the name I gave their son and Pippin asked if I remembered him. Anyway, what I didn't expect was what happened in day 62 so you get to wait for that day's installment to find outwhat I'm talking about there. Just know that when you finish Oracle of Ages, you get a code and when you talk to certain people, you get smaller codes or "secrets" that you have to tell to people on the other game. Anyway, the game...

I started out telling the game that I wanted to start a new linked game. I put in my code from Oracle of Ages and it gave me an extra heart! I got to start out with four hearts!!! Hey, it's a lot better than the standard three hearts. Anyway, the game itself started out with myself, Impa, a bunch of Hyrulean guards and Din all pretending to be a traveling dance troupe in an effort to bring Din to Hyrule for safety from this plot that Koume and Kotake have going on. It failed, of course. But if the idea didn't fail, would there still be a game? O.o Exactly. So this guy who calls himself General Onox came in and quickly took care of every one there to help Din and then just took Din away. So of course, Impa made sure I knew that it was my responsibility to save Din and she added that I should talk to a tree in the city to the South (here we go again...). I talked to that tree and just like with the last Maku Tree, the evil in the land was cauing him some troubles and I'd have to get eight essences to get him back to normal. He first sent me to the North to finish a level there...

Oh yeah. By the way, because of the mess that Onox made, the seasons were all out of whack and some areas change when you enter and others are stuck until you change them (then they change back when you leave). Yeah, I'm going to have to back up a little more here... Onox thought it would be cool to just get rid of the Temple of Seasons so he made it fall underground where it wouldn't do anything for the people up on the surface. I had to go down in there and get the Rod of Seasons and give it the power of Winter. The other seasons will have to come later because those areas of the Temple of Seasons are blocked off for now. Anyway, I got the Rod of Seasons and used it to get into the first level (which is in an area that reminds me a LOT of one of the levels in the very first Zelda game made..). This level was so very easy and I was really glad for that. Two cool things to note is that now I have bombs and the boss for that first dungeon was just like a dragon I remember from the first Zelda game. Serious, this dragon shot out three fireballs and moved around just like that old one. Anyway, I killed it and I got the Fertile Soil (essence). I figured I did pretty well and I called it a day.

Day 62 Part One: (September 13, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Alright, it's still early in the day, but enough has already happened that I felt it was necessary to get on here and put all this in. I mean from day 57 on up until here was enough but just today was a pretty good set of events... I found Bowser... o.o Lemme go back and start from the beginning with this one...

I started out heading for the second dungeon but on my way, I came across a fairy who told me to tell Tingle (in Oracle of Ages) a "secret". I thought it was kind of odd but also cool that the games interaced like this. I took a picture of the screen with my phone so I had the code for Tingle later and continued on to the second dungeon. While going through, the secret thing really had me curious so I saved and went bacl to Oracle of Ages and talked to Tingle. He made it so I could hold more seeds in Ages and he also gave me a "Secret" to use in Seasons. I saved that game and went back to Seasons. I went throught that second dungeon, got a bracelet to help me lift heavy stuff, and decided to follow this Secrets thing and see what I could do with it. I couldn't find where to use the one that Tingle gave me. That fairy being pretty indifferent didn't help much. I did remember that the Ring Shop had a Link mode for transferring rings between games. I tried that out and it worked! I got all my rings from Ages into my Seasons game! Go me! In addition to all that, I talked to a girl in the town (in Seasons) and when I told her that I knew the forest fairies (in Ages), she told me a Secret to give to them. Of course, I saved right there and started up Seasons again to give that Secret to the forest fairies. They gave me an extra heart container! My Ages game now has a full set of hearts! They also gave me a Secret to use in Seasons so that I would get a heart in there too but like with Tingle's Secret, I don't know where to use it... :/ I looked around for more Secrets to use but instead, I found out how to get me a boomerang! I did some dancing with the people from the underworld (where that Temple of Seasons fell to) and on the second try, I did well enough that they gave me my very own boomerang. While down there, I decided to see if I could get to any other areas of the Temple of Seasons. Nope. Oh well.

Back when I finished the second dungeon, this world(Holodrum)'s Maku Tree told me where to go to get to the third dungeon. I started out and came across Impa who was all worked up, something about Zelda having disappeared without a guard or some such deal. Impa wanted me to help look for Zelda. I went a few screens North and found her! ...about to be kidnapped by someone who I first thought looked like an aligator version of Mouser from Super Mario Brothers 2. He said he was going to kidnap her because she looked like a princess. I then realised that was Bowser! Zelda ran to the South and Bowser ran to the North and I was left to take care of the moblins that Bowswer left. I killed the moblins and went after Zelda. I caught up with her as Impa did the same and they both went to Impa's house in Holodrum and I saved my game to type all this up... More to follow:

Day 62 Part 2: (September 13, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
...and here it is!

Pretty much, I went in, got a little lost, found my way, and killed the bad guy. This dungeon's item is the good old Roc's Feather. With it, I can actually jump over stuff! I killed the boss for the level and used the Roc's Feather to almost get another season- oh yeah. Before going to the third dungeon, I went down to the underworld and found a way to get a second season. In the society of these underworld dwellers, there is a girl named Rosa who is a bit of a celebrity. I got her a bow for her hair and she accepted it as a request for a date. For the date, we went to the Temple of Seasons where she used a key she had to open the area where I get Summer added to the Rod of Seasons. Anyway, I remembered that the Roc's Feather would let me jump to a place where another season was but there were some boulders blocking the way. The guys there said a bomb flower might fix the boulder problem but we'll see when I get around to looking for the bomb flower. Anyway, I hear the next level is Northwest of the main city of Holodrum...

Day 63: (September 15, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Couldn't find the next level. Got lots of stuff instead. :) Long version:

I searched and I searched and I wandered and I searched some more. I even went underground and gained access to new parts of the underworld. But no level 4. Instead, I found new places to plant trees and I found a tree or two that I planted earlier and I got rings from them. I also got a membership card for the shop in the main town. I used it to get a treasure map, another seed to plant, and something else-I forgot what it was. I even found a place that is supposedly a fortress of sorts for a moblin boss. That should be fun later on because we all know who is going to take him out. Anyway, I got some stuff done, even though I didn't even find the next level. I'll just try again another day...

Day 64: (September 17, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Today was a bit of a gaming binge...

I started out by going to that Moblin fortress place where I just went in and pretty well blew things up. It turns out that the guy who looked like Bowser was this Moblin boss. Yeah, I blew him up. He started throwing bombs at me and I just threw them back. Meh.

After that, I spent a little more time in the Sunken City which is just East of that Moblin fortress. I found a dinosaur named Dimitri who helped me find a profesional diver who agreed to make me his apprentice and gave me some flippers so I could swim.

I used those flippers and the new season I got to get into that fourth level up in the mountains, North of the Sunken City. I got in and with some fumbling, I got this nifty mitt that attracts or repells certain magnetically polarized objects. I used that to get all the way to the main boss for the level and then... I died. a few times... Then I gave up for a bit.

Day 65: (September 23, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Once again, I'm back! And I'm ready to finish that Level 4 boss. I decided that I'm not using the magnetic mitt enough. You see, this boss can only be hurt by the spikey ball that you move by attracting or repelling with the mitt. After a few hits with the spikey ball, he falls apart into a bunch of smaller enemies which I was just trying to kill with my sword. I decided to just keep with the mitt and the spikey ball and sure enough, first try had it! I now have one more heart and one more of the essences!

So after that, I decided to do a bit more exploring in the underworld. I used my new mitt to get to a couple places down there that I remembered should be now accessible. I got some blue ore and I got some red ore and I had it refined into a new item. Now, I just need to find out how to get into that fith dungeon...

Days 66-68: (September 24-October 1, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Ladies and gentlemen, I have done a LOT on this game yesterday, today, and back on September 24th. Just thinking about it all and more than what I did, the realization I came to, my head was kinda left spinning. For the interest of my time, I'm going to give you the short version:

I've noticed some bad guys that look like bad guys that are very uncommon in any Zelda game that isn't the first one. There are always the classics like the moblins and the octorocks but I'm talking about those centaur looking guys and even worse, the two headed dragon boss and the other dragon with the unicorn horn. I stepped back and took a look at my map and I realized that Holodrum is the world from the original Zelda game! Crazy... I have tried figuring out how Hyrule changed so much between the games but with a place called Holodrum that looks so much like the world from the first Zelda, I have to conclude that Hyrule wasn't where that one took place.

Anyway, I finished the dungeon I was in on the 23rd. ...and the one after that. And I'm pretty sure the one after that one, too. In place of the Roc's Feather, I have the Roc's Cape which does the same thing it did back in Minish Cap. I did some trading and I was disappointed when I found out that the end of the trade in this game was supposed to be a stonger sword but I already had it. I looked it up and found out that there was a way to get a third and stronger sword so I did it! I talked to a Zora and exchanged secrets and I got the Master Sword in both Oracle games! And in-line with what I was talking about in the previous paragraph, the sword looks like the Master Sword from the original Zelda game. Or at least what I think it looked like, assuming it had that same name back then... The important thing is that I got the L-3 sword in the Oracle games. :)

Now, something else I did was pass a couple dungeons. Yesh, I mentioned that but I mentioned it again because these things are complicated and I want you to know that I ended up having to make not one but two maps for the seventh dungeon... :\ You see, in addition to a three-level dungeon, there are a couple rooms on two of these three levels that have 14 stairs and a lot of walls. It reminded me of the three level maze I started but never finished in Disney Infinity. Crazy stuff. Anyway, I mapped it all out, killed the two headed dragon, and got the seventh essence. Now, normally, that is the part where I get my clue that's supposed to send me off to the next dungeon by the Maku Tree telling me about some dream he had or something. Not this time, though. No such luck. I checked my overworld map and decided to head to the only place I haven't been to.

I went, I wandered, I got blocked... I'm going to come back and try it again after some sleep...

Days 69-71: (October 5-October 30, 2015)
Oracle of Seasons
Yeah, it's been a while. You're getting the short version of events plus a VERY strong recommendation to play this game!

Well, breaking my way into the last dungeon wasn't easy. First off, it wasn't where I thought it was; that was for later. It was a bit to the east of there. I manipulated the seasons and made my way in. This level was called Sword and Shield and looking at the map, you could see why. One floor was a sword and the other was a shield. It was the most complicated layout of them all, though. Even with me drawing a detailed map of each room, I still got stuck a couple times and had to come back and re-evaluate what I was doing. The cool thing was that the boss for this dungeon was really easy and all I had to do was kill it with my fancy L-3 sword. I got the last essence and then the Linked Game stuff kicked in and I saw Koume and Kotake kidnap Zelda! I was then left in an underground place. Not quite a dungeon, but almost. There was a portal out and to the north, there was a room with six statue eyes that all went crazy then each settled on looking up, down, left, or right. I tried talking to people in the overworld but no hints on it. I noticed that there was a direction that none looked so I went that way a few times but gave up when (I thought) I came to a room where all four directions were looked at. I went around to a few different rooms and wrote down where all the eyes really were looking at... I quickly decided that I must have seen that one wrong because every single one I drew had only three directions for each screen. I also noticed that certain positions always had the same direction and, well, I over-evaluated it. I went back in and went the direction where no eyes were watching. I found it! I made my way to Zelda but was quickly taken somewhere else by Koume and Kotake. I fought them and died a few times but in the end, I figured out how to defeat them and Twinrova. That left me with Gannon... Luckily, he was really easy to kill! Zelda explained afterward that Gannon wasn't fully resurrected so it was a weak form of him. Anyway, I got Zelda back as well as the maidens from Holodrum and Labrynna. All was well. As the credits rolled, I got to see people reunited and living peacefully and at the and of the credits, Link could be seen sailing away on a ship...

Oh yeah, after that, I got another Hero Code... So If I wanted to, I could use that to go back and start one of these games again... I might do that... Maybe after Hero Mode in Skyward Sword or Ocarina of Time. Yeah, we'll see. In the meantime...
